Top Plastic Surgery Procedures
The increase in plastic surgery procedures has been on the rise for the past few years, and does not seem to be slowing down anything soon. The American Social of Plastic Surgeons recently released a study showing nearly 2 million Americans has cosmetic surgery, while more than 15 million had noninvasive treatments such as Botox, fillers and nonsurgical fat reduction. Here are the top ranking surgical procedures:
- Breast Augmentation. This was the most popular plastic surgery procedure performed in the past year. This includes women who were getting the surgery done for the first time and those who had gotten the procedure in the past and were ready for a change, often referred to as a breast revision. During the consultation, patients can expect to discuss the different options such as replacing implants with different size, removing implants completely or performing a breast lift for a more youthful appearance.
- Liposuction. This is typically performed when certain areas of the body do not respond to diet and exercise. Liposuction permanently and painlessly removes the areas of fat that are resistant to these efforts. The results include a smoother, tighter appearance in these trouble spots. The most common areas are the stomach, hips and thighs. The buttocks, knees, breast, chin, neck are also frequently requested areas for Liposuction. Some patients are also interested in areas such as the calves and ankles or the back and arms which also can be sculpted with our liposuction techniques. Most of our patients are back to work in just a couple of days.
- Facelift. Even patients who have taken great care of themselves will eventually experience many of the signs of aging common to us all. A facelift is still the best way to correct all these problems at once and help patients look 12-15 years younger by lifting the cheek,
- Rhinoplasty. Our skilled plastic surgeons will work with your bone structure and tailor your rhinoplasty surgery so that you nose works well with the rest of your facial features. Our goal is to create a new and better shaped nose. Traditionally, surgeons removed a tremendous amount of excess tissue in order to make the nose more attractive.
