Weight Loss Tips:
- Be mindful of how much you are eating out. If you are cooking the meal in your own home, you are able to control the portions and the ingredients. Restaurant often do not include the nutritional facts and can create dishes that are high in fat and sodium. Also, when people eat out, they tend to choose the better tasting options as opposed to healthier options.
- Avoid eating on the run. When you are in a hurry, you often end up making unhealthy choices. Meal prepping can help with this problem.
- Slow down when you eat. Allow your body to appreciate the food, you will start to feel full earlier. If you eat faster than your body can tell that it is full. You will end up eating more than you need.
- Avoid the ‘clean plate’ mentality. Stop eating when you are full, do not force yourself to clean your plate or end up eating food that you do not want.
- Don’t skip meals. If you get too hungry, your body will get too hungry and you will end up making unhealthy decisions.
- Drink plenty of water. Throughout the day and into the night.
If you need or desire body contourning, Dr. Bernacki stresses the importance of choosing a board certified plastic surgeon. Dr. Bernacki recommends that you talk to your family doctor, your personal physician, your OBGYN, whomever you trust and talk to them about who they recommend in the field. Make sure you are seeing someone you trust to be there in case of a complication.
