Plastic Surgery Procedures

Have you been regularly listening to On Call with Dr. Walt Bernacki? It is an informative podcast about the latest plastic surgery news and industry trends, featuring our very own board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Walt Bernacki. Tuning in every Sunday is a great way to learn more about the field, the process of becoming a plastic surgeon and the different procedures.

In a recent episode of On-Call, Dr. Bernacki took the opportunity to discuss the most important plastic surgery procedures for men in the past year.

Eyelid Rejuvenation (Blepharoplasty)

Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists can perform several different types of upper and lower eyelid surgeries that will restore youthful, effervescent eyes. We tailor each surgery to the individual patient because some eyes may require removal of excess skin, muscle or fat and for others a lower lid procedure may be performed through an invisible incision inside the eyelid. Yet for some the inner eyelid fat pads may need to be re-positioned to prevent a hollowed-out appearance. There is no one-sized-fits-all Blepharoplasty solution.

Neck Lift

For many people, the neck is the first area to show age. For people who have lost weight, an unfortunate side effect may be loose, hanging skin that has lost its elasticity. Whether it is band lines, excess skin, or fat, a neck lift can bring your neck back into shape and restore your youthful appearance.

Rhinoplasty

Men are often likely to be candidates for rhinoplasty because of injury or trauma to the nose in years prior. This surgery requires about one week off before returning to work or normal activity, it will take about 2-3 months for the swelling to subside completely.

Liposuction

Men and women alike both have stubborn fat areas that diet and exercise just will not get rid of. Liposuction can be performed anyway on the body. Popular places of liposuction for men include the abdomen area and love handles. We truly want to warn our patients, if this procedure is not performed by a board certified plastic surgeon, this can result in serious side effects even as serious as death in some cases. Please make sure you are choosing the proper surgeon to perform this procedure.
