Dr. Walter L. Bernacki, MD
Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, Practice Founder

As founder of Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists, Dr. Walter Bernacki leads our Columbus, Ohio plastic surgery team with more than two decades of experience built on genuine, patient-first care and precise surgical outcomes.

He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mount Carmel East Hospital and St. Ann’s Hospital, and was elected Chairman of Surgery at Mount Carmel East. Dr. Bernacki earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his plastic surgery fellowship at Summa Health System. Outside the practice, he treasures time with his wife and children.

Polly Bernacki
Practice Manager, Co-Founder

Since 2002, Polly Bernacki has guided the daily operations of Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists with the same patient-first philosophy at the heart of the practice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Development from The Ohio State University and began her career in sales and marketing with Aetna Health Insurance, where she built a foundation in healthcare and insurance processes. Polly is married to Dr. Bernacki and together they are parents to their two children, Lauren and Leo.

Holly McKibben, CNP
Certified Nurse Practitioner

Certified Nurse Practitioner Holly McKibben joined Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists after a decade in trauma and critical care, experience that shaped her precise, patient-focused approach to aesthetic medicine.

Holly holds both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University. Outside her time spent at Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists’ plastic surgery team in Columbus Ohio, Holly is a lifelong athlete, she can often be found running, hiking, or exploring the outdoors, and she brings that same energy to building lasting relationships with her patients.

Lynn Chintala, RN
Clinical Registered Nurse

Lynn Chintala, RN has been with Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists for several years and has had a nursing career rooted in patient-centered care. A graduate of Kent State University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, she has worked in hospital surgical departments, intensive care, recovery rooms, and cardiac rehab case management.

Lynn assists during procedures and oversees pre- and post-operative care, making sure every patient feels comfortable and confident throughout their experience.

Outside the practice, Lynn enjoys time with her husband at the family’s lakeside retreat and time with her two amazing children, David and Angeline, who are 22 and 20, and are the center of her world.

Jamie Byron

Patient Care Coordinator

For several years, Jamie Byron has led patient care at Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists, combining her more than a decade of experience across the salon, spa, and medical aesthetics industries with a focus on the patient care before, during, and after their procedure or treatment. She holds an MBA from Heidelberg University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tiffin University.

Before joining the Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists plastic surgery team in Columbus Ohio, Jamie worked as a Territory Manager for a leading aesthetic equipment provider and as an award-winning Patient Care Consultant. She combines sharp business insight with a genuine passion for helping patients feel confident in their care.

Erica Evans, CRCS, CRCP
Billing Manager

Erica Evans has spent three years with Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists and brings 13 years of medical billing experience to her role as Billing Manager, including time in DME billing, hospital billing, and professional office billing.

Erica recently earned her CRCS (Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist) and CRCP (Certified Revenue Cycle Professional) certifications, a reflection of her commitment to staying current in her field.

Erica loves spending time with her niece and two nephews, and she enjoys amusement parks, reading, and painting in her free time.

Kathie Post
Medical Record Coordinator

Kathie Post has been part of Ohio Plastic Surgery Specialists for more than 11 years, bringing a wide range of medical experience to her role. Before joining Dr. Bernacki’s practice, Kathie worked in hand surgery, pediatrics, and medical transcription, building a well-rounded foundation in patient care along the way.

Kathie holds an Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting from a college in Dallas, Texas. She is a mother of three and grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren. Outside the office Kathie enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with her family.
